Mazen El Motagawel is an Egyptian director, cinematographer, and lighting designer who became one of the youngest Directors of Photography in Egypt at the age of twenty-three. Born in Alexandria in 1980, he honed his craft at the High Cinema Institute in Cairo before training under some of the most respected DOPs in the Arab world and internationally. His work is defined by a mastery of light, frame, and visual storytelling that has made him a sought-after figure in Egyptian and regional production.
